Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Workshop Supervisor to manage mechanical maintenance operations at our Ras Laffan Industrial City facility. The role involves planning and overseeing preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance for fire equipment, vehicles, and mechanical systems. A key objective is to ensure equipment reliability and minimize outsourcing through effective workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise maintenance and repair of fire equipment and vehicles following QatarEnergy’s corporate standards.
- Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Manage workshop operations, ensuring high productivity and quality of service.
- Review technical specifications, allocate resources, and monitor progress of maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with safety, operational, and environmental regulations.
- Support takeover of new assets, including inspection and commissioning.
- Minimize outsourcing by developing in-house capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized university.
- 10–12 years of relevant experience, preferably in the oil & gas or public utility sector.
- Proven expertise in maintenance scheduling, budgeting, and project execution.
- Proficiency in SAP and maintenance software systems.
- Strong communication and leadership skills; fluency in English is essential, Arabic is an advantage.
- Professional membership in an engineering society is preferred.
